My baby is 14 months already! I can hardly believe it. My other baby is just over 11 weeks! That's right, we're having a baby...
Affectionately known as little baby peanut (which happens to be around the size of a lime now), sure has made this momma sick and tired. I definitely remember being tired and nauseous with Eden, but it seems that peanut's affects have been worse this time around. Part of this could be due to running around after a 14 month old (tiring to say the least), and just not being able to find anything appetizing to eat.
I ate alot of hamburgers (with pickles), smoothies, and Arby's roast beef sandwiches when pregnant with Eden, and little peanut definitely likes Arby's. Unfortunately for all of us, momma has had an aversion to food and cooking (especially at dinner time), so daddy has had to fork over the cash for eating out. No, it's not the healthiest way to eat, but I figure eating is probably better than not. In my defense, however, I did actually cook dinner like 5 days in a row last week! That's definitely my record lately.
In 2 weeks, we'll be taking our first long road trip of the year. My cousin Amanda is getting married on April 6th, so we're driving to Augusta. All my cousins' kids, Eden, and my nephew JM are going to be in the wedding. Let's just plan on some sort of fiasco..with 3 kids under 15 months and 2 others under 4..yikes. At least the other 3 kids have been to school.
We're planning on going to Mobile to see Randy's family for Easter. I told R we should get his parents to hide Easter eggs for the kids, and just in case, I bought a whole bunch of plastic eggs and have been hiding them around the house. I figure I should prep my kid for what lies ahead. She loves the Easter eggs. In fact, every day, she takes the big eggs and dumps them out of her bucket and then takes them apart. She never tries to put them back together though..maybe next year?
As I write this blog, I have a sad heart. Recently, I found out that a very good friend of mine is moving..across the country...to California... and she's leaving on Saturday. Sigh
I believe God brings people into our lives for many reasons and many different seasons. Our season lasted almost 1.5 years, and through the birth of 2 children (one mine, one hers). We walked, we laughed, we texted, and most of all just shared parts of our lives with one another. Do we know a lot about each other's past? Actually, we don't. Trying to get to know someone when you have a very small child is like trying to drink water out of a straw with holes. You can do it, but it takes a long time and you have to take very small sips.
Regardless, I'm going to miss her and the kids. We may never see one another again, but I thank God for the time that we were able to spend together.
